I'm a Nebraska native and a Husker alumni with a degree in accounting. I've worked in both the public and private fields of accounting before entering the RV business almost seven years ago and enjoy being able to use my accounting skills along with my love of using my hands in this job. I am a Christian man and my faith is very important to me. God has given me, much like everyone else, a purpose in life and Preferred RV has given me the platform in which to spread the "Good News" of Jesus to many people. Most are surprised to hear a "camper man" ramble about God but I truly enjoy spreading the word and the weird looks I get sometimes give me a little laugh too. I work hard at giving the best customer service possible and like to think, and try hard to run an ethical business. I will be heading to Guatemala this summer from June 7th to June 16th. While in country I will be working at an orphanage for abandoned and abused children doing anything and everything from cleaning up trash, painting, to helping with building projects. I will also have time to spend with the children spreading the gospel, washing and cutting hair, and just giving them a little love. While I am gone the business will be tended by my parents Bob and Deannie and a retired friend Walt Marchese from Gretna, NE. Please be patient with these folks who are volunteering their time and energy to man the phones and answer questions as best they can. If you can leave a message with you needs and can wait until I get home I will be sure to return all call when I get back.
03/03/08 I learned a valuable lesson today! Speeds of 40 mph and deer don't go well together. This occurred on 72nd Street down by Louisville, NE just north of Louisville Rd. I was heading to Omaha Fish & Wildlife to help out a customer when out of nowhere came Bambi. Although the little bugger did some damage to my vehicle and cut me up a little I was thankful things happened the way they did. Had the deer jumped a little sooner it might have landed right in my lap then who know what kind of shape I would be in. It was a cold day and I guess no day is good for this kind of incident but in the end I was still thankful my seat warmers worked, I had a good heater, and I had remembered my stocking hat. The drive home was a little chilly. The customer had to wait but eventually I made it back and took care of business.
Team Guatemala 2008 Photo 04/10/08 Tired of the cold days and the rain and really want some warm weather...How about you? My Guatemala missions team had a picnic fundraiser last Sunday and it was a total success. (Thanks to all who came out) Tom and I cooked roughly 90 hamburgers and 30+ hot dogs and we were able to serve many folks food and fun. The kids, as well as adults, enjoyed an afternoon of great food and games out at Chalco Hills and God blessed us with lots of sunshine to top the day off. Our team needs roughly $18k for the trip and we raised a little over $3k in that one afternoon alone. I was a little skeptical but hey...God works in mysterious ways!! I'll keep you posted on my missions trip as things progress. Thanks for reading. |
